Obituary of Raelyn Noelle Anteau-Riggs
Raelyn Noelle Anteau was born on October 7, 1999, in Monroe, Michigan. She was the daughter of Rachel Anteau and Schawn Wurster. After the death of her father at a young age, Raelyn was adopted by Jesse Riggs. She attended Regents Academy Cyber School and graduated from high school early with the Class of 2016. Raelyn furthered her education by enrolling in classes at Monroe County Community College.
Raelyn had a zest for life and seemed to love everything and everybody. She was a free spirit, always open to trying new experiences. Raelyn was brave enough to try new opportunities when they presented themselves, in fact, she never seemed to say “no”. Although she could be described as quite stubborn from time to time, Raelyn simply marched to the beat of her own drum.
Raelyn loved spending time with her friends. Her adventurous soul brought her to Florida to soak in the sun and dip her toes in the ocean. She was blessed with a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing along to her favorite tunes. Raelyn loved animals and adored her cat: “Tink” whom she rescued as a kitten that was too young to be away from its mom so she bottle fed her.
Raelyn Noelle Anteau-Riggs, age 23, of Monroe, Michigan passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 11, 2022. Her passing was preceded by her father: Schawn Wurster and a brother: D.J. Anteau.
To cherish her memory, she leaves her mother: Rachel (Richard) Revels of Monroe; her father: Jesse (Alicia) Riggs of Newport, Michigan; a brother: Jackson Riggs; four step-brothers: JJ, Cullen, Nolan, and Nevin Riggs; grandparents: Julie Stefko, David and Rosemary Anteau, David and Lisa Wurster, and Archie and Jan Riggs.
Friends may gather on Wednesday; December 14, 2022 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service, South Monroe; 14567 South Dixie Highway, Monroe, Michigan 48161 (734) 241-7070. A Celebration of Raelyn’s Life will follow at 7:00pm also at Merkle’s with Deacon Michael Stewart officiating. Cremation will take place through the on-site crematory, Covenant Cremation in Erie, Michigan.
