Obituary of Pamela Jean Ellison
Pamela Jean Amazeen was born in Monroe, Michigan on October 28, 1954. She was the daughter of Charles Benjamin Amazeen Jr. and Dorothy (Pratt) Amazeen. Pamela attended Monroe Public Schools graduating from Monroe High School with the Class of 1972. She later furthered her education taking college courses at Monroe County Community College.
She married the love of her life, Don Keith Ellison, on November 13, 1971 in Monroe. The couple were blessed with the birth of three children: Jessica, Kim, and Nick.
Pam was employed in the banking industry for fifteen years. Working as a Collections Supervisor for the former Monroe Bank and Trust, she was extremely good at her job, and was never afraid of the risk that sometimes came with the position.
Pam was a strong presence in the room that brought a smile to everyone that had the chance to meet her. Full of love for family and a fierce defender of her bear den. She had a fun and twisted sense of humor that was both hilarious and infectious. Pam leaves behind so much love and memories as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She would let you have cake for breakfast, laugh at a slightly inappropriate joke, dress up for Halloween just to make her grandchildren happy.
Pamela Jean “Pam” Ellison, age 67, of Monroe passed away at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital on Friday; October 14, 2022. She had been in declining health. Her passing was preceded by her parents and a brother: Charles Amazeen III.
To cherish her memory she leaves a husband of fifty-one years: Don Keith Ellison; three children: Jessica Marie Ambrose of Monroe, Kimberly (Gary) Pendleton of Monroe, and Nicholas (Jessica) Ellison of Fenton; three sisters: Nancy Williams of Monroe, Janet (Alan) Notario of Monroe, Frances (Mick) Toth of Monroe; one brother: Steven Amazeen of Monroe; eight grandchildren: Chance Ambrose, Skyler Pendleton, Delaney Pendleton, Kaleb Pendleton, Nicholas II Ellison, Emma Ellison, Kaitlen Ellison, and Addisen Ellison.
