Elizabeth Catherine Banks
March 26, 1932 - December 18, 2009
Elizabeth Catherine Hool was born in Dearborn, Michigan on March 26, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Claude Hool and the late Josephine (Laungway) Hool. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Dearborn.
She was married to Hilary G. Banks and from this union was born four sons.
Elizabeth served the Transportation Department of the Wayne Westland Community Schools as a bus driver for more than sixteen years. She took a medical retirement several years ago. Elizabeth lived in the Westland area for most of her life before moving to the Carleton Co-Op two years ago.
She enjoyed music and especially singing and playing the piano. Elizabeth appreciated a good meal, and she had the ability to prepare one. She loved to visit with her family and friends. She also loved to shop and gift giving was one of her specialties. Elizabeth had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and looked forward to the time that she was able to spend with them. One of her favorite pastimes was a country drive, and she didn't care if it wasn't Sunday.
