Laverne Henricks

Obituary of Laverne William Henricks

Laverne William Henricks was born on April 20, 1935 in Palmyra, Michigan. He was born from the union of the late Mark Henricks and the late Geraldine (Gaugt) Henricks but was raised by his grandparents.  In his younger years, he enjoyed spending his time on the farm and riding his horse. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1956 and served his country until he was honorably discharged in 1962.

Bill met his beloved companion of many years, Janis Miller and from their union came the birth of their three sons. To support his family, he started working at the Woodhaven Stamping Plant as a press operator in 1972 and worked there for 26 years until he retired in 1997.

In his free time, he would enjoy tending to his flower garden and loved to gamble. He always looked forward to his trips to the casino to see if he could win big. Together, Bill and Jan traveled to many casinos to test their luck. He was a family man and enjoyed spending as much time with his family as he could.

Laverne William “Bill” Henricks passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017 in Monroe, under the care of Great Lakes Caring Hospice.
