Norville Frey

Obituary of Norville John Frey

Norville John Frey was born on February 15, 1942 in Monroe, Michigan. He was one of two children born from the union of the late Elmer and Rachel (VanWasshnova) Frey.   Norville was a 1960 graduate of Monroe High School.

Norville married the former, Julia Reaume (Goethe), on January 25, 1964 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Newport.   From this union came the birth of one daughter, Sherrie.   Sherrie was the apple of Norville’s eye.   A kind man with a huge heart, he cherished nothing more than the time spent with his daughter and friends; with one lovingly calling him “pops”.

Norville always greeted others with a big smile and a warm hello.   He was very generous and more than willing to help others in need.   Norville was very reserved and would never complain.   When asked about his own state of affairs; he simply replied that everything was always “Okay.”

Born and raised his entire life in Michigan; Norville was sure to become a home team fan.   He enjoyed staying up to date with his beloved Detroit Tigers and the University of Michigan Wolverines.

Norville John Frey, age 75, of Monroe passed away at 9:10am on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at his home in Carleton, Michigan. His passing was preceded by his parents.

To cherish his memory, Norville leaves his beloved daughter: Sherrie (Erik) Kreger of Monroe; his sister: Helen (Martin) Lizyness of Trenton; his nephew: Larry (Joyce) Lizyness of Woodhaven; his niece: Cathy Lizyness of Trenton; 3 great nephews and 7 great-great nephews/ nieces.
