Obituary of Margaret Sue Henderson

Please share a memory of Margaret to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Margaret Sue Pinkley was born on July 13, 1953, in Huntingdon, Tennessee. She was one of six children born from the union of James Ervin and Ruth (Fiddler) Pinkley. She attended school within the Detroit Public School System and graduated with the class of 1971.

Margaret was a remarkable individual with a passion for puzzles. Throughout her life, she challenged her mind, yet found solace and enjoyment in various games, particularly crossword puzzles, which she delighted in solving with her monthly subscription.  However, it was her love of jigsaw puzzles that truly showcased her admiration for the art of image assembly. Regardless of the number of pieces, if Margaret found a puzzle with a captivating picture on the box, she would eagerly purchase it and embark on the journey of piecing it all together.

Outside of the puzzle realm, Margaret's phone was her gateway to relaxation and amusement. With an obsession for solitaire, she enjoyed challenging herself in the virtual card game world. Additionally, her heart warmed at the sight of adorable animal videos, which she would eagerly watch on her phone.

Before the days of Covid, Margaret found joy in creative pursuits that showcased her skilled hands and kind heart. Crocheting became her beloved pastime, allowing her to create beautiful scarves and hats that brought warmth and comfort to those around her. She also dabbled in the art of sewing, taking on the role of a mender, fixing clothes and ensuring that the pockets of family members' garments were meticulously restored.

Margaret's demeanor reflected her personality - a caring soul who deeply appreciated sincere connections. If she liked you, she truly liked you, leaving a lasting impression on all fortunate enough to be embraced by her friendship. However, it was said that Margaret possessed a stubborn streak that added a touch of tenacity to her character.  To provide for her family, Margaret was gainfully employed as a manager of a local apartment complex.
