Yaretzi Rose Garza was stillborn into this world at 10:58pm, Sunday, April 13, 2014 at the Toledo Hospital. She was the daughter of Michael A. Garza and Salena L. Valdez. The beautiful girl was a gift from the Heavens. Her name, Yaretzi, is taken from her Aztec roots meaning: "she'll always be loved". Although her earthly life was short, the joy she brought and the lives she touched were immense.
A private gathering was held and cremation has taken place through Toledo Memorial Park in Sylvania, Ohio. Arrangements have been entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, 9156 Summit Street in Erie, Michigan (734) 848-5185.
To cherish her memory she leaves her loving parents: Michael A. Garza and Salena L. Valdez of Toledo; one sister: Avianna Martinez; fraternal grandparents: John (Marta) Lapoint of Toledo and Rachel (Randy) Edmond of Toledo;maternal grandparents: Marco and Sheri Valdez of Toledo; fraternal great grandparents: Frank and Marge Jiminez of Adrian; maternal great grandparents: Sandy and Sam Foreman of Toledo; fraternal aunts: Sasha (Michael) Smith, RaeAnn (Lance) Agerbeek; fraternal uncles: Austin Lapoint, Cameron Lapoint, Memphis Lapoint, and Tyson Lapoint; maternal aunts: Christina (Junie) Williams, Sara (Danny) Parish, Alissia Valdez, and Adrianna Valdez; maternal uncle: Antonio Valdez; and a host of great aunts and uncles.
