Obituary of Cozy Riley

Miss. Cozy Riley, age 97, of Ferndale, MI, formerly of Kirksey, KY., passed away Monday, January 9, 2012, at her home in Ferndale, MI. Born February 24, 1914 in Kirksey, KY., she was a retired restaurant manager and was a member of the Ferndale Church of Christ and the Mt. Olive Church of Christ. She was the daughter of the late Hollie C. Riley and the late Myrtie (Rule) Riley. She is survived by one sister-in-law; Wanda Riley of Kirksey, KY., one nephew; Jerry Riley and wife Lisa of Kirksey, KY., three nieces; Janet Riley of Kirksey, KY., Jean Thompson of Benton, KY., and Charlotte Irvan of Golo, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; Ovis Riley, Ottis Riley and Olin Jefford Riley, four sisters; Tressie Cole, Treva Alexander, Totsey Alexander and Dola Newsome. Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, P.O. Box 492, Benton, KY,and assisted by Bennett Funeral Services, Monroe, Michigan Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the graveside in the Mt. Olive Church of Christ Cemetery in Kirksey, KY. Richard Adams will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Church of Christ Cemetery in Kirksey, KY. Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY.
