Obituary of Lee Norman
Lee Norman, age 52, of Dundee, Michigan passed away at his home on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 under the care of his family. Lee was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on July 10, 1963, the son of LC and Elizabeth (Labun) Norman. He attended Dundee Community Schools and graduated from Dundee High School in 1981. He received associates degrees from both Madonna College and Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma. All through his life he had helped his parents with the family business – the Dundee Bar. He was employed as an automobile engineer, the past 17 years at Yazaki North America in Canton, Michigan. He is a member of the Dundee Sportsman Club. He loved the outdoors especially shooting. He was also a big Detroit Lions fan but the thing that he loved the most was playing his bass guitar. He was in two successful bands over the years, The Livewire and the Mainline. Lee married Laureen Schrock September 14, 2007 in Toledo, Ohio. His survivors include his wife Laureen; his mother Beth Norman of Dundee; sons Jacob Norman of Dundee and Joshua (Claire) Norman of Grand Rapids, Michigan; step sons Shaun Heatherly of Wyandotte, Ryan Heatherly of Belleville and Brandon McCarty of Dundee; step-daughter Shannon (Rick) Netherton of Dundee; grandchildren Isabella Rosamond and Ricky Netherton; his sister Kristie (Jerry) Koontz of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his father in 2002. Friends may call on Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 10 AM until 4 PM at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156). Cremation has been held. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to the Dundee Sportsman Club.
