Obituary of Karen Lee Brockman
Karen Lee Brockman, age 80, of Petersburg, formerly of Dundee and Britton passed away at 8:30 PM, Tuesday, Nov. 245, 2015 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital following a long illness. She was born in Tecumseh, Michigan March 8, 1935 the daughter of Ernest and Alice (Hartsell) Maschino. Karen married Giles R. Brockman September 19, 1980 at the Petersburg Presbyterian Church. She graduated from Britton High School in 1952. She had worked at Dundee Schools as a bus driver; worked at the Kellogg Eye Center in Ann Arbor; worked at University Hospital Mott’s Children Hospital as a secretary for 20 years; worked at Mr. D’s in Dundee; was president and chairperson of the Monroe County Homemakers Extension. She is survived by her husband Giles; son Greg Spaulding of Dundee; daughters Terri (Nick) Ciacelli of Clayton and Pam (Ed) Brososky of Petersburg; brother Ron Maschino of Britton; grandchildren Jason Ciacelli, Jody Gilbert, Amber Miller and Kay Brososky; great grandmother of Moiselle. Friends may call Saturday from 1 – 8 PM at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156) Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, November 29. 2015 at the funeral home.
