Obituary of Anne Greer
Anne H. Greer, 96, died at the Ozark Nursing Home in Ozark, Arkansas January 11, 2011. She was born in Youngstown, Ohio June 26, 1914 to George and Helen Timar. She was raised in Detroit. She married Kinney Greer and lived in Dundee for many years. They had owned the Town Tavern and the Sunny Ridge Tourist Home. She enjoyed gardening and especially loved the library as she was an avid reader. She also enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Survivors include a daughter Diane (Ken) Leslie, two sons Nelson (Rosalie) Greer and Kinney (Theresa I.) Greer, one sister Emma Connaughton, two brothers Bill (Pearl) Timar and Paul (Maureen) Timar, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters, two brothers. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made for Masses or to the American diabetes Association. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in her memory at 10:00 A.M., Friday, April 1, 2011 at St. Irene Catholic Church . Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Michael Woroniewicz. Cremains interment will follow immediately in Maple Grove Cemetery in Dundee. The family is being assisted with local arrangements by the Cover Funeral Home in Dundee.
