Obituary of Charles Lee Orrison
Charles Lee Orrison, age 57, of Greenville, South Carolina passed away January 3, 2016 at the Greenville, SC Hospital. He was born August 27, 1957 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Chuck attended Holmes Elementary School and Dundee Schools. He was a wanderer and traveled to many states throughout his life, calling himself a Michigan cowboy. Chuck had a great love for horses and deeply respected Bob Layton for teaching him how to respect and care for them. He also loved fast cars, music and women. Chuck was an “all or nothing” kind of guy and crammed a lifetime of good and interesting decisions into his 57 years. He attended London United Methodist Church in Michigan and Christian Fellowship Church in South Carolina. Survivors include his parents, Charles and Georgia (Stewart) Orrison; sister Freda Orrison of Dundee; brother Clyde J. (Leigh) Orrison of Willis; daughters Honi Elhaje of Dearborn Hts, and Cylee Orrison of Sarasota, FL; son Clyde J. Schroder of Milan; 5 grandchildren; one great-grandchild: several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is survived by a special aunt, Betty Gillum of Dundee. She always spoiled him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, David and Essie Stewart, Clyde and Elva Orrison, uncles Danny Stewart and Ron Gillum and cousin Bobby Neeley. A gathering at the London United Methodist Church, 11318 Plank Road in Milan Township, will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 will begin at 2:00 PM with a service to start at 2:30 PM. Rev. Christopher Butson, pastor of the church will officiate. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society of Relay for Life in Milan. Envelopes will be available at the church.
