Jeffery Alan Schaffer was born in Trenton, Michigan on November 13, 1986. He was the son of Leslie Schaffer and Angela (Henson) Ajami.
Jeffrey was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and he loved to ride his dirt bike. Jeffrey was a funny guy who had a great sense of humor. He was a pleasure to be around and he enjoyed practical jokes. Jeff had a thirst for knowledge. He could often be found watching the National Geographic and Discovery channels. The information he absorbed always brought him great satisfaction.
Jeffrey was the oldest of four siblings, and he was extremely proud of his family and loved them very much. He cherished his time with them, and as the oldest sibling felt the need to always protect them. He was a great son, brother and friend he was well loved, and will never be forgotten.
Recently, Jeffrey had been employed as a roofer in the construction industry.
Jeffrey Alan Schaffer, age 25 a lifelong resident of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 17, 2012.
To cherish his memory, Jeffrey leaves behind his parents: Leslie (Kelly) Schaffer of Monroe and Angela Ajami of Gibraltar; his grandparents: John and Jackie Schaffer, Debbie and Don Smith, Doyle Henson and Charles and Linda Ferry; two brothers: James Schaffer of Gibraltar and Jason Schaffer of Monroe; one sister: Tiffany Schaffer of Monroe; one step-sister: Cecilia (Adrian) Smith; and one step-brother Cory Eighmey.
Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 7:00pm Tuesday May 22, 2012 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of His Life will follow at 7:00pm also at Merkle's. The Reverend Bruce Leaman pastor of Grace Point United Pentecostal Church will officiate. Cremation will follow through Southern Michigan Services in Livonia.
