Obituary of Betty Keck

Betty Lou Keck was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on January 29, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Foister B. Keck and the late Coba (Collins) Keck. She moved to Monroe in the 1960's.
For more than forty years Betty worked as a Hair Dresser. Betty took a great deal of pride in her work and she loved her profession. Betty was also a true lover of music. She enjoyed Elvis Presley so much that she took the opportunity to see him preform four different times. Betty once took a trip to Hawaii that left her with fond memories. In her free time she enjoyed taking care of her mother very much. She was a loving sister and aunt, always showing concern for her family. She also was very fond of her companion her dog Babe.
Betty Lou Keck age 69 of Monroe passed away at 12:50pm, Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg Ohio. She had been under the care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio. In addition to her parents, her passing was preceded by a beloved brother Bill.
To cherish her memory she leaves two brothers: Eugene Keck of Monroe and L.M. and Faye Keck of Virginia; four nephews: Roger, Michael, Kenny, David, and Mark, several cousins; and her beloved dog Babe.
Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 8:00pm, Monday, March 19, 2012 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Her Life will take place at 11:00am, Tuesday, March 20, 2012 also at Merkle's. Reverend Roy Southerland, Pastor of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. A memorial luncheon will follow at the church. Burial will take place on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Fairview Memorial Cemetery in Clairborne County, Tennessee.
