Ronnell "Ronnie" Dwayne Richards December 10, 1974—March 12, 2012 Ronnell Dwayne Richards was born in Monroe, Michigan on December 10, 1974. He was the son of the late John Austin and Alice Richards. Ronnell attended Monroe High School. For several years Ronnie was employed by Bohl Crane as an electrician. Ronnell was extremely intelligent, and had recently completed the welding program at Monroe County Community College where he had earned a spot on the Dean's List. Ronnie above all else loved his family and especially his children. He enjoyed backyard barbeques with family and friends. He was friendly and out-going taking the opportunity to make new friends wherever he went. Ronnie was also well known for his sense of humor, always joking and smiling, and for being a loving "instigator". Ronnell loved to play cards, and especially enjoyed playing spades and games on the internet. He was also very active. Ronnell enjoyed playing basketball, swimming, shooting pool, and bowling. He also loved to watch sports on television such as basketball, football, and boxing. Ronnell Dwayne Richards age 37 of Monroe passed away Monday morning, March 12, 2012 in Toledo, Ohio. His passing was preceded by his father, John Austin and his grandmother, Katie "Ma" Richards. Ronnell leaves to cherish his memory his mother: Alice Richards of Monroe; his fiancée: Lisa Knox of Monroe; three children: Razaria Richards, Pashyon Adams, and Jevel Mosely; one stepson: Johnny Vega all of Monroe; four sisters: Rolanda Page, Clara Richards, Latoyia (Byrd) Williams, and Shlenda Allen; one brother: Dedrick Philpot; a host of very special nieces and nephews including Chrisja Oliver, family in Florida, cousins and friends. Friends may gather from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Friday, March 16, 2012 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734)384-5185. A Celebration of His Life will take place at 1:00pm, Saturday, March 17, 2012 also at Merkle's. Reverend Alfred Overstreet, Pastor of Al Overstreet Evangelistic Ministries and Reverend Jack Branham will co-officiate. Cremation will follow though Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle. In lieu of flowers memorial donations for those who desire are suggested to the Richards Family.
