Daniel Dean Drummonds
December 6, 1973 - November 20, 2010
Daniel Dean Drummonds was born in Monroe, Michigan on December 6, 1973. He was the youngest of two boys born from the union of Arnold Drummonds and Judy (Lentz) Drummonds. Daniel was baptized at St. Mary Parish, and received his first holy communion at St. Michael's attending the parish school and serving as an altar boy in addition to serving at St. Mary's Motherhouse. Daniel was later confirmed at St. Mary Parish. He attended school at Monroe Catholic Central and Jefferson High School before graduating with the Class of 1992 from Monroe High School.
After graduation, Daniel attended Ross Career Institute and achieved his certificate in Medical Assistance. He took employment with the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor where he worked for more than thirteen years. The past six years he had worked as a Cath Lab Technician before recently leaving.
On December 2, 2001 he married Sylvie Bui in LasVegas, Nevada. From this union came the birth of a son: Trinh.
Daniel loved music. He was a talented musician and had played drums with several different bands; including Rare Form and Runtheim. Daniel's love of music led to the formation of his own company, "A Touch of Class" D.J. service. In his free time he loved to attend concerts; and was a die-hard Ozzy Osborne fan. Daniel also enjoyed the outdoors and liked to visit the lake and go boating, and snowmobiling.
Daniel Dean Drummonds age 36, of Hamburg, Michigan formerly of Monroe passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at his parents Monroe home. His passing was preceded by his grandparents and a niece: Jennifer Drummonds.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife: Sylvie Drummonds of Ann Arbor; his parents: Arnold and Judy Drummonds of Monroe; his three children: Alyssa Drummonds of Toledo, Trinh Johnathon Drummonds of Ann Arbor, and Daniel Dean II of Saline; and one brother: David (Kim) Drummonds of Hebron, Kentucky; one nephew: David J. (Britney); one niece: Madison; and a great nephew: Landon.
Friends may gather from 12:00pm until 7:00pm, Friday, November 26, 2010 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of His Life will take place at 7:00pm with Father Bob Singelyn of St. Mary Parish officiating. Cremation will follow.
