Obituary of Eva West

Eva May WestMarch 4, 1925 - October 3, 2010 Eva May Rosencrantz was born in Lambertville, Michigan on March 4, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Leroy Rosencrantz and the late Dorathy (Vermette) Rosencrantz. Eva graduated from the former Lambertville High School before moving to Toledo. She married Robert Lee Johnson. From this union came the birth of five children. Eva took the responsibility of being a homemaker and raising the children. After Robert's passing she married the love of her life Phillup West. Eva was always a pleasure to be around. She didn't complain about anyone or anything. She was well loved by all. For the past fifteen years she resided in assisted living. Eva enjoyed attending worship services at her residence. She also loved bingo and listening to music. Eva May West age 85 of Toledo passed away at 3:10am, Sunday, October 3, 2010 at the Fairview Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Toledo. In addition to her parents her passing was preceded by both husbands: Robert Lee Johnson and Phillip West; three brothers: Cletus, Albert, and Noah Rosencrantz, and a sister: Betty. She leaves to cherish her memory five children: Richard and Peggy Johnson of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Bill and Pam Johnson of Kansas, Jim and Delores Johnson of Toledo, Bonnie and Doug Beavers of Farwell, Michigan, John and Debbie Johnson of Toledo; a sister: Anna Bell of Florida; several grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. Cremation has taken place and no public services are planned. Merkle Funeral Service, 9156 Summit Street in Erie, Michigan (734) 848-5185 was entrusted with her arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
