Obituary of Christopher Williams

Christopher John Williams was born in Monroe, Michigan on August 3, 1984. He was one of three children born from the union of Howard Williams and Beth Ann (Spence) Williams. He attended Monroe High School. Christopher enjoyed the great outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish, but also enjoyed working in the yard and playing outdoor sports; including swimming. He also enjoyed listening to music. Christopher was always fun to be around. He was encouraging to others, had a great sense of humor, and would give others the shirt off his back. He could often be found ribbing his friends and unfortunately for his sister, Jennifer; enjoyed teasing her. He tried to bring a smile to the face of others and sometimes this was accomplished by his signature cheek grab. Christopher loved to spend time with his friends and family. For the past six years, Christopher had worked as a roofer. Christopher John Williams age 26 of Monroe passed away at 9:27pm, Wednesday, August 26, 2010 at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Monroe. He leaves to cherish his memory his parents: Howard and Beth Williams of Monroe; a sister and brother-in-law: Jennifer and Jeff Bowman; and a brother: Shawn Williams; two nephews: J.J. Bowman and Blake Bowman; and a niece: Katelynn Bowman. Friends may gather from 2:30pm until a Celebration of His Life at 7:00pm, Monday, August 30, 2010 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. The Rev. B.J. McDaniel pastor of Frenchtown Missionary Baptist Church and a close friend will officiate. Memorial donations are suggested to the Williams family.
