Pat's life reminds me of the way the indian's from the old west would beat the war drum for days. Suddenly, the drum would stop and everything would go silent and everyone would know. Now I will listen for the sound of the drum in his boys. My prayers are with you all. God bless ya's.

McLaughlin Family - growing up I always felt that I was part of your family. Miss Karen and Mr Mike you were like 2nd parents to me. Erin (my sister, my friend) oh the times we had. I remember all the fun we had with your sister Kathy and brothers John, Dan, and Pat. Pat I will miss your smile, even though it has been many years since I have seen you all, you are still and will always be family to me. May God wrap you all in his loving arms. Find your comfort and strength in him. RIP Pat, dance on the streets of gold. Until we all meet again. All my love and prayers. Debbie Benore

Cory, I am very sorry for your loss. My thoughts will be with you and your family. My years of teaching have shown me that almost every student is who they are because of their parents. You were a kind, friendly, happy, and humorous student, and I am glad I've gotten to see the wonderful young man you've become. Our parents are with us in our thoughts and in our hearts forever. Love and prayers, Ms. E

I like to think that my life was a bit more exciting and full because of a family that I first knew only as neighbors, and now over a decade later, I know to be family. All of the McLaughlin's are extraordinary people, but Pat...Pat was special. I could be having the worst day, but as soon as I heard him say "annie mae!" I couldn't help but smile. I've never met anyone that radiated as much life and happiness as Pat Mclaughlin, even through his toughest struggle. That is the most inspiring thing about him, that despite any hand he was dealt, he refused to give up. That part of him will undoubtedly live on through his amazing children and will certainly continue to impact me for the rest of my life. My heart is broken because I know that the world will be considerably less wonderful without Pat. I am blessed and grateful for every memory I have of him. My most sincere sympathies and prayers go out to his family and friends but especially to his sons. I love you all so very much.
