Roger H. Hensley, age 66, passed away on February 16, 2016 of natural causes in Graham, Washington.
Roger is survived by his daughter, Carrie D. Pena, of Dupont, WA and his grandchildren Nathaniel C. Kahn, Matthew E. Kahn, Serenity E. Pena and Kara R. Pena. He is preceded in death by his Mother and Father; Harm and Angeline (Payne) Hensley of Monroe, MI.
Roger H. Hensley was born on May 26, 1949 in Harlan, KY to his parents Angeline and Harm. He attended Monroe High School and in 1974 he accepted a position as an Automotive Technician with General Motors. He worked for General Motors 30 years and retired in 2004.
Roger was a great family man, loving father and grandfather. He married Margaret Whaley and had 2 children together, including Sherry Hensley who died at birth.
Roger was a man of solitude who deeply enjoyed cars, computers and all things electronic. His family and friends will always remember him as a tinkerer and jack of all trades.
Family and friends may gather at 9:00am until 11:00am on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Merkle Funeral Service, 14567 South Dixie Highway, Monroe (734)241-7070. A Celebration of His Life will take place at 11:00am also at Merkle's under the auspices of Monroe VFW post 1138 and Reverend Michael Gilbert officiating.
