Obituary of Cody Beaudry
Please share a memory of Cody to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Cody Mitchell Beaudry was born at Fort Campbell, Kentucky on September 18, 1995. He was the second of four children born from the union of Jeffery Beaudry and Jennifer (Gusas) Beaudry. At the age of two, Cody's family relocated to Fort Sill, Oklahoma. They later would settle in Warren, Michigan for more than a decade before finally making their home in Dundee.
Cody was a bright and gifted young man. He was homeschooled by his parents for several years before receiving his diploma from Riverside Academy in Dundee in 2014. He was extremely proud of his father's twenty-four years of military service. Being raised in a military home it only seemed natural for Cody to be patriotic. He tried enlisting in the Army, but his athletic induced asthma prevented him.
Cody loved spending time with his father. They often visited the gun range and liked to lift weights. He also enjoyed playing his X-box, and his dedication extended to reading the books associated with his favorite games of Halo, Battlefield, and Rainbow 6.
Cody was a great friend being dependable, spontaneous, devoted, and outgoing. He was also a hard-worker; punctual, and dependable, recently starting employment with J-Tech in Milan.
Cody had his own way. He loved music from the 1960's and was a talented photographer often catching beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
Cody, age 20, of Dundee passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, February 15, 2016.
To cherish his memory, Cody leaves his parents: Jeff and Jennifer Beaudry of Dundee; two brothers: Kris and Brendan Beaudry of Dundee; one sister: Megan Beaudry of Dundee; a niece: Emilie Beaudry of Dundee; paternal grandmother: Gloria (Mike) Eytcheson of Clinton Township, Michigan; maternal grandmother: Katherine Gusas of Warren, Michigan; two paternal aunts: Tina(Todd) Hoenicke and Kelly Chervinsky (Todd Minton); a special adopted aunt: Theresa Jurkowski; many great aunts and uncles and cousins; and his beloved border collie-Australian Shepherd mix: Annabelle.
