Obituary of Peter Ranucci

Peter was born in Viterbo, Italy on March 24, 1925 the only child of the late Ranuccio and Luisa (Sciarpa) Ranucci. He honorably served in the United States Army, and attended Rets Electronic Tech School, and later became a Superintendent at Burroughs Corp, followed by being self-employed. He married, the late Lillian Summers of Dearborn, on January 24, 1948. Peter was a devout Catholic, and a devoted father, always putting family and his children first. He was a talented Ball Room Dancer, and an avid fisherman. Peter, age 90 passed away at home in Monroe on Sunday, February 7, 2016. Survivors include: Christine (James) Kijek of Woodhaven, the late Mark (Renée) Ranucci of Florida, Dean Ranucci of Monroe, Lee Ann Truxton (Ed Sherman) of Farmington Hills, and Carrie (Dave) Thompson of Brighton; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
