Obituary of Ruby Pierce
Please share a memory of Ruby to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ruby Lynn Pierce was born in Monroe, Michigan on October 23, 1956. She was one of nine children born from the union of the late Otis T. and the late Lila Ruth (Woods) Pierce. Ruby attended Monroe Public Schools graduating from their high school with the Class of 1974.
Ruby and Joseph Boitnott were blessed with the birth of two sons, and for more than twenty years the couple made their home together. Ruby served her family as an excellent homemaker. She loved to cook and always kept an immaculate home. Ruby was a homebody. She enjoyed caring for her family and cherished each and every memory she spent with them. For five years she worked as a Nurse's Aide at the former Beach Nursing Home.
Ruby spent her free time reading the Bible and romance novels. She loved to challenge herself with puzzles and by playing bingo. Ruby often won at bingo and over the years had acquired the "Shrine of Victory", an amazing stuffed animal collection. For the past eighteen years, Ruby had been in poor health and confined to a nursing facility. She never seemed to let it keep her down.
Ruby Lynn Pierce, age 59 of Monroe, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Fountain View of Monroe. In addition to her parents her passing was preceded by three sisters: Charlotte Ann Moran, Sue Davis and Christine Pierce; twin brothers: Billy and Bobby Pierce; and a brother-in-law: Junior Davis.
