Annabelle Bostic, age 81, of Monroe Michigan, passed away on November 9, 2015. Born April 22, 1934 in Wyandotte Michigan, she was the daughter of Glenn Waltz and Mollie Waltz (Fuerst). She married Raymond Bostic on October 25, 1952, and they celebrated 59 years of marriage until his death on February 13, 2012. After graduating from Airport High School in 1952, she was employed by Detroit-Toledo Shoreline Railroad for several years. Ray and Annabelle owned Bostic Cutter Grinding in Carleton, later moving the business to Monroe, renaming it Monroe Cutting Tool. Annabelle was a Master Gardener and a member of various garden clubs. She loved being home, working with her husband in their beautiful flower gardens. She also enjoyed home decorating and reading mystery novels. For a number of years, she was a 4-H judge at the Monroe County Fair. To cherish her memory, Annabelle leaves her three daughters: Rae Ann (Russ) Viau of Munising, Judy (Randy) Hagerman of Carleton, and Molly (Brian) Canfield of Belleville; a niece, Sharon Croft; five grandchildren: Jessica (Jason) Hoffner of Monroe, Jason Viau of San Diego, CA, Ryan Vanderbush of Carleton, Sherry (Matt) Brubaker of Ypsilanti, and Sarah Rochester of Chicago, IL; and nine great-grandchildren: Ethan, Owen, Cole, and Kyle Hoffner, Gavin and Victoria Vanderbush, Alaina and Kelsey Brubaker, and Natalie Laird. Annabelle is preceded in death by her husband, her brother, Roger Waltz, her sisters, Helen Hicks and Ethel Croft, and her grandson, Todd Vanderbush. In accordance with her wishes, cremation was entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734)384-5185. A private memorial service will be held for immediate family members.
