Angela Martha Karwick was born in Monroe on March 25, 1934. She was one of seven children born from the union of the late Joseph Karwick and Harriet (Pete) Karwick. She attended Monroe County Public Schools.
Angela married the love of her life, Robert L. Peters , on September 2, 1950 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Erie. From this union would come the birth of three children. Angela stayed home to care for her family and cherished every moment spent with them. She was especially fond of family holidays and spending time with her sisters.
Angela was very active and determined to achieve her goals when she set her mind to it. She looked forward to many new adventures when her husband retired. Angela was an avid flower gardener and was quite artistic. She loved doing crafts, painting and making jewelry.
Angela Martha Peters, age 81 of LaSalle, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2015 at home. In addition to her parents her passing was preceded by her son Robert J. Peters; two sisters: Marge Bowman and Nita Bowman; two brothers: Harold Karwick , Joe Karwick; one sister-in-law: Delores Karwick; three brother-in-law's: Lowell Bowman, Warren Bowman, and Ken Verdon.
To cherish her memory, Angela leaves her husband of sixty five years Robert ; one daughter: Sandra (Victor), Squires of Northville; one son: Mark (Kris) Peters of Ann Arbor; one daughter-in-law: Terry Peters of Washington; two sisters: Harriet (Leon) Bowman of LaSalle and Joann Verdon of Monroe; eight grandchildren; Jennifer (Todd) Minnier, Katherine Squires, Megan (Erik) Anderson, Ben (Lindsay) Peters, Becky Likens, Thad London, Ted London, and Ty Peters; and one great grandson: Zach Peters.
Friends may gather, Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 10:00am until 1:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service, South Monroe, 14567 South Dixie Highway (734) 241-7070. A Funeral Service will take place at 1:00pm, also at Merkle's with Father David Cybulski of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church officiating. Procession will follow to Roselawn Memorial Park for burial.
