Obituary of Robert Call
Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Robert Leo Call was born in Monroe, Michigan on November 5, 1944. He was one of six children born from the union of the late Merl and the late Matilda (Russeau) Call. After attending high school, Robert went on to serve his country, by enlisting in the United States Army. Upon discharge, Robert was an expert marksman, specializing in the Rifle M-14 and 81mm Mortar.
Robert proudly supported his family for forty two years, working for the Chrysler - Sterling Stamping plant. He worked in many positions at the plant, retiring as a Hi-Lo Driver in 2005. Robert was a jean and t-shirt kind of guy who loved to have fun, always staying positive. He enjoyed being out on the boat and loved his motorcycle in his younger years.
Robert longed to move to Florida, as he enjoyed being outside in the sun and strongly disliked the cold Michigan weather. John Wayne and old war movies, and his country and were a few of the things Robert loved most. Perhaps his favorite pastime of all was drinking beer with his brother and son.
Robert Leo Call, age 70 of Roseville, Michigan passed away peacefully at the Medilodge of St. Clair in East China, Michigan at 10:31am on Sunday, November 1, 2015. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Call.
