Charles Ray York was born in Rome, Georgia on June 16, 1925. He was the son of the late Frank and Delia York. He married the former Eulean Ellison on December 31, 1949 in Monroe, Michigan.
For many years, Charles worked on the assembly line for the Ford Motor Company.
Charles Ray York age 86 of Monroe passed away at 7:08pm, Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Mercy Memorial Hospital. In addition to his parents his passing was preceded by a sister, Lena Richardson, and a son-in-law: Lawrence Moore.
A Private Gathering and Service were held on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185.
To cherish his memory Charles leaves a beloved wife: Eulean of Monroe; four daughters: Monica (Mike) Easter, Delana (Paul) Gessner, Sharon Moore, and Tammy (Steve) Miller; one sister: Mary Money of Knoxville, Tennessee; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
