Robert "Donnie" Donald Daniels Sr.
March 3, 1957- March 20, 2015
Robert Donald Daniels was born in Sandusky, Ohio on March 3, 1957. He was one of eight children born from the union of the late Shelby Daniels and Leona (Bussell) Daniels Wilbanks. Donnie attended Forge Ridge High School in Tennessee.
At the age of seventeen he married the love of his life, Rose Ann Daniels. From this union would come the birth of three children. Donnie was a wonderful, loving and supportive husband and a great father. For more than twenty years, Donnie supported his family as a self-employed contractor.
Donnie was the greatest man his family ever had the pleasure of knowing. He never met a stranger and he was a great friend to all. He had a servant's heart, willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Donnie humbly served as a great, "Pastor of Serenity Missionary Baptist Church". He enjoyed playing guitar and singing country gospel music with his wife at church and for funerals.
Donnie enjoyed tinkering on cars and working his garden. He spent his spare time visiting a cabin in Tennessee, fishing his favorite spot in Bolles Harbor, or camping at Michigan K.O.A. campgrounds. More than anything, Donnie cherished his children and was a wonderful "Pappy" to his grandchildren.
Donnie, age 58, of Monroe passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 20, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. In addition to his father, his passing was preceded by two sisters: Joanne Clines and Debbie Leonard; and two brothers: Greg and Terry Daniels.
To cherish his memory, Donnie leaves his loving wife of forty years: Rose Ann; his mother: Leona (Tom Nolan) Wilbanks of Tennessee; three children: Joshua (Megan) Daniels of Boulder, Colorado, Robert (Shoshanna) Daniels Jr. of Monroe and Renee (Chad) Pridemore of Monroe; one brother: Stanley Daniels of Tennessee; two sisters: Jean (Leeman) Miricle and Vickie (Todd) Mosher both of Tennessee; and five grandchildren: Destinee, Tristan, and Amiya Daniels, Shaelynn and Annika Pridemore.
