As both a former neighbor and former employee I have many fond memories of Frank Smith Jr. I always enjoyed our chats whenever we met at the County Fair, Lowe's, our someplace around Carleton.

Heaven gained an outstanding person and proud Magyar this week. I remember Frank, along with all the Smith family growing up on the Kecskes farm down the road. Frank always treated me like one of his own family and loved to test my Hungarian knowledge (or lack there of). I was proud to know Frank as a businessman through his annual trips to Toledo Turf Equipment to pick up batteries. We'd catch up on Carleton, family and his friend, my grandpa. So glad we had the chance to chat last summer. It was great to see him riding his trike down Indian Trails. I'm sure he and my papa, Paul are chatting it up right about now. Two wonderful men in a wonderful garden. Frank's memories will always live eternal in the hearts of those who were blessed enough to have ever met him.

So very sorry for your loss. I will miss seeing Frank riding his "three wheeler" through the greenhouse. He was a very nice man and always had something nice to say when he came into the traffic office. My prayers are with your family.

Dear Friends, MaryLou, Patti, Larry, Tom: Sorry for your loss. Brings back memories of my visits with Frank and MaryLou in Carleton. Memories of their visits to my parents home and the laughter with the old friends of Charlie and Frank...and the stories I witness they tell. A wonderful memories. I had just learned of their new home at "Elders Solutions" in Monroe, MI and I had just sent a letter/card, when a friend told me of Frank's passing. Remember that my prayers are with you. Remember that Frank is at peace and in God's Presence and all that has gone before him. In Christ's Peace, Carol Jaworski
