Obituary of Charlotte Plummer

Please share a memory of Charlotte to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Charlotte Dean Freimark was born on April 20, 1925 in LaSalle. She was one of seven children born from the union of the late William and Helen (Miller) Freimark. Charlotte attended LaSalle Township School through the eighth grade, at which point she left to take care for her ailing mother. She married the love of her life, John Plummer on June 5, 1948 in Monroe. From this union would come the birth of two children. For many years, John drove semi, and Charlotte looked after her family's needs as a homemaker. From 1964 until 1974, they owned and operated the Sunshine Laundry Center on North Dixie Highway. Charlotte was an excellent homemaker, baker, and cook. She loved the outdoors whether snowmobiling, or enjoying wildlife watching the birds and deer. For many years she was the camp cook always providing hearty meals for the hunters. True to form, Charlotte became John's caretaker the last thirteen years of his life. Even with Charlotte providing dialysis treatments for John, the couple never missed a beat and traveled the countryside with a fifth wheel in tow or their motor home. Charlotte enjoyed puzzles and playing cards. She attended Trinity Lutheran Church, often volunteered at the Senior Center, and was a past member of the Moose in Florida and Monroe. More than anything Charlotte loved to spend time visiting with family and friends. Charlotte Dean Plummer age 89 of Monroe passed away 7:15am, Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the University of Toledo Medical Center. In addition to her parents, her passing was preceded by her loving husband: John on November 28, 1986; a brother: Norman L. Freimark; and three sisters: Helen Romine, Marilyn Huber, and Jeanette Belair. To cherish her memory she leaves her two children: Randy (Sue) Plummer of Tecumseh and Marcia (Dale) Mikolajczyk of Monroe; one brother: Earl (Bernice) Freimark of Monroe; one sister: Katherine (Thomas) Woodrum of Gallipolis, Ohio; four grandchildren: Keith (Gosia) Plummer of Chicago, Brian Plummer, of Tecumseh, Chad Cuthbert of Monroe, and Jenna (BJ) Lucas of Hillsdale; nine great grandchildren; and many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
