TOLEDO- Jonathan F. Baldock Jr., age 48, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015 in his home from natural causes.
Jon was born June 25, 1966 in Monroe from the union of Jonathan F. Baldock Sr. and Eileen (McGill) Baldock, who survive him. He graduated from Airport High School in 1985. He was a past member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Carleton.
For many years, Jon was employed by the Cold Heading Company of Detroit in the plating division. For the past eleven years he was employed by Norfolk Southern Corporation as a conductor and later as an engineer. Jon loved running the rail. He enjoyed witnessing the beauty of the four seasons from the engines' vantage point and always expressed the appreciation of the wildlife he saw along the way.
He was a private pilot. He enjoyed fishing, reading, cooking and sharing his meals with friends and neighbors.
In addition to his parents, Jon is survived by his sister, Christine (Steve) McQueen of Monroe; his brothers: Patrick (Yvonne) Baldock of Carleton and Max (Betza) Baldock of Trenton; five nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Friends may gather at 3:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday, February 2, 2015 at Merkle Funeral Service, North, 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Jon's Life will follow at 7:00pm with Pastor Mark Wellhousen officiating.
