Obituary of Juanita Wilburn

Juanita Jane Wilburn April 8, 1958 - January 22, 2015 Juanita Jane Wilburn was born in Monroe, Michigan on April 8, 1958. She was one of five children born from the union of the late Lawrence Ray and O. Jane (Woods) Wilburn. Juanita was a graduate of Jefferson High School, class of 1976. Juanita supported her family by working at Ford Motor Company in Wayne for over eleven years until medically retiring in 2010. She was a simple woman that led a very simple life. Juanita loved spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren, as family was most important to her. She was a very creative person and enjoyed doing many crafts. Juanita enjoyed doing puzzles and loved a good game of bingo. Whenever the chance was given she enjoyed bathing in the sun. Juanita Jane Wilburn, age 56, of Monroe passed away unexpectedly at 5:19 pm on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Promedica Monroe Regional Hospital. In addition to her parents, her passing was preceded by her brother; Jerry D. Wilburn. To cherish her memory she leaves a daughter: Amy (Christopher) Mills, of Tennessee; two brothers: Walt (Sue) Wilburn of Temperance and Ray Wilburn of Monroe; a sister: Joanne (John) Dye of Temperance; a sister-in-law: Denise Wilburn of Monroe; and four grandchildren; Allie, Tia Lynn, Mason and Carly Mills of Tennessee. Friends may gather from 11:00am till 1:00 pm on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Merkle Funeral Service North Monroe, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185.
