Fred will be missed! We are sad to hear of Fred's passing. He and Stacy have been a huge influence on our success. I remember meeting him for the first time about 22 years ago in a panic; I was running late and had not prepared as well as I had hoped for our first meeting. He took the time to remind me to breathe and get to know me before diving right into numbers. He was patient, supportive and kind. He also wisely reminded me that its better to make money and pay more in taxes, then to avoid making money to avoid taxes. We still get a chuckle out of that one today! Fred and Stacy have been our primary contacts, and both have outstanding character and gone above and beyond for our business as well as me personally in all my financial adventures over the years. On behalf of Lakeside, my personal family and all those I've referred, we'd like his family to know how influential and admired he was. We send our deepest sympathy, genuine condolences and loving prayers to you all. He was a very special man that made the world a nicer place :)

I am saddened to hear of Fred's passing. My sincere condolences to the entire family. I watched the video of all the pictures and music and it was quite fitting to have it end with you're the best by Carly Simon. I worked for Fred and Rena for years and witnessed how much he treasured his family. He was a great father and grandfather. He was also a great boss. I learned alot from him, not only how to do the accounting work but how to run a business and treat people. At times I even felt like he treated me and my son like family. We once took a work outing to Cedar Point all together and we had a blast riding all the roller coasters (I am currently in Florida but when I get home will try to find a picture of us on a roller coaster to share.) He allowed us to attend an Indy 500 race with the family. Fred and Rena always found a spot for me and my son to help out at the Detroit and Cleveland Grand Prix races. I truly appreciate my time knowing Fred. I'm glad he passed in a hospital surrounded by family instead of at his desk like he always told me he would. Prayers for you all. Dawn (Marino) New

Rena,
Thinking of you during this tough time. While I never met Fred, I know he was loved and cherished by all who knew him. I loved looking at the photos of your time together during the early races of the Detroit Grand Prix and hearing all of the wonderful stories about your life together.

Fred and Rena acted as our tour guides as we accompanied them on a trip to Paris and the 2016 24 Hour Auto Race at LeMans, France. The two of them were very gracious to spend time showing us all the "ins and outs" of Paris and LeMans since they had visited those venues in the recent past. I also have fond memories of volunteering with Fred (and Rena) at all of the Detroit races.
May he rest in peace, and may perpetual light shine upon him and all the souls of the departed.
Fred will be missed, but not forgotten.
We are all poorer with Fred gone.

Our memories of Fred and his family span over 40 years during Indy 500 weekends. We looked forward to those yearly calls to make sure we were still here and let us know they were coming. The calls from Rena letting us know they were stopping by. The catching up on families and happenings of the year. Fred's traditional race day breakfast sometimes included bacon, always included donuts. The morning cup of coffee, getting ready for the race. We will remember Fred's spunk. He never seemed to age. His fondness for our family and especially for Jessica and Matt. We will continue to wait for that call from your kids and Rena. They will always have a place with us. You ran a great race Fred! Much Love. Randy and Terri Lambert
