Graduated from Monroe High School in 1970 with David. I also went to Custer School with him. The photo is from third grade, Mrs. Hart's, class.

I first met Dave back in 1981 when he was working in in the Cable-Route group with Gary Markiewicz and Joyce Robertson at EF2. He was a good electrical, and knew how to get things done. He went on to bigger and better things and pulled me out of a jam more than once.
Dave was one on maybe 4 guys (out of an original 50+ guys) that John Malaric kept in the mod’s group after EF2 went commercial.
I haven't seen Dave in 25 years. What’s weird is that I was thinking about him last week wondering how he was doing.
With this message I'd like to offer my condolences to Dave's family. He made an impression. He will be missed.

My condolence to Dawn and all the rest of the family.
It was great pleasure to have worked and socialized with Dave while/ when at the Fermi II plant. Dave was the first person I would seek out if I had electrical issues/ instrumentation issue in any of my projects. Away from the plant Dave was always warm and fun to be around. I could trust Dave to have some off the wall comment in his back pocket to share or bat out. Under the leadership/ supervision of John Malaric along with others in the Modification Group Dave was able to achieve/ complete many challenging project tasks that others would only dream of doing.
I have not seen Dave for quite some time and hope he faired well since retiring. Dave did well in his years/ time involved with the "Baby Boomer Construction, Startup, Modification Groupies" at Fermi II, Detroit Edison, Modification/ upgrade/ maintenance.personal.
Rest In Peace Dave,
Clyde H. Shaulis, Jr.
