Obituary of Marjorie Theresa Omler
Marjorie "Margie" Theresa (Nadeau) Omler was born on May 12, 1953, in Monroe, Michigan. Marjorie was the third of five children of Harold and Monica (Roberts) Nadeau. Margie graduated from St. Mary's in May 1971. She married the love of her life, Jim Omler, on September 24, 1971. Margie was diagnosed with a meningioma in 1995. She was employed with Jefferson School District as a custodian until taking a medical retirement in 2000.
Margie loved taking trips with her family up north to East Tawas to visit her parents and to Glennie to visit Harry and Truman. She enjoyed playing euchre and spending time with her kids and grandkids. After taking a medical retirement, Margie volunteered her time at Neidermeier Elementary School reading to students. She absolutely adored her pets, which her household was never without a furry friend. She was a huge fan of Elvis and always loved to listen to Eminem with her kids. She absolutely loved entertaining at her house in the basement or outside in the backyard. She was also a member of St. Anne's Church.
Margie battled her meningioma, which turned into multiple meningiomas, for many years. Unfortunately, she lost the battle on May 16, 2023, and will now be at home with the Lord and her parents. Margie was true to her faith and never lost hope.
Margie is survived by her husband Jim, of fifty-two years, three children: Angie (Jodey) Dunn, Jamie (Ron) Kazensky and Andy (Bonnie) Omler, three grandchildren who she absolutely adored: Rylee Dunn, Reed Omler and Stella Omler and her siblings: Hank (LoAnn) Nadeau, Judy Magoon, Darlene (John) Laney and Beverly (Harold) Clark. Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Monica Nadeau.
