Obituary of John Patrick Dennis
John Patrick Dennis was born on May 13, 1964 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was one of eleven children and the second to last born to the union of Robert Albert Dennis and Alice (Doedderlien) Dennis. In high school, John participated with the band playing the trumpet. He was a 1983 graduate of Shaw High School in Cleveland.
John married the former Jennifer Benham on May 30, 1992 in Cleveland, Ohio, and they were blessed with three boys. He had a kind heart and was very generous and helpful. However, part of his charm included being stubborn and opinionated. One thing for sure, John had no problem speaking his mind and telling others how he felt. He loved all children but none more than his own grandchildren. He was also quite fond of the dogs in his life, and it was often joked about that he loved the canines more than his children.
John was very handy and loved to build things. He nearly singlehandedly built a cabin in Hillsboro, Ohio. He was also very creative, designing many fish tanks and loved music. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
In 2016, he moved from Cleveland to Monroe County to be closer to his children. John attended the North Monroe Street Church of God. He worked in the medical field more than twenty-five years repairing and delivering equipment to nursing homes, hospitals, and homes. Since living in Michigan, he was employed as a Facility Manager for Logistical Data Services in Toledo.
