Obituary of Lori Ann May
Lori Ann Missler was born on November 6, 1958. She was one of four children born to the union of Arnold and Carol (Roe) Missler. After completing her high school general equivalency, Lori attended college courses to receive her Home Healthcare Certification. She was employed as a home healthcare aide at various nursing homes in Monroe County. Lori also worked at Mac Valves and Barger Petroleum gas station in Dundee, Michigan for a short time.
On October 19, 1996, Lori wed the love of her life, Jeffrey May, at St. John Lutheran Church in Dundee. The couple crossed paths six years earlier after a chance encounter at Carl’s Hideaway restaurant in Ida, Michigan. Inseparable, they were the best of friends and created many wonderful memories together. Camping at Trout Lake, Michigan was a frequent and favorite destination.
Lori enjoyed relaxing with a good romance or western novel. She also tuned into classic Western television programs such as “Gunsmoke”, “The Rifleman”, and “Bonanza”. A firecracker, Lori had a big personality and a wicked sense of humor.
Lori Ann May, age 64, of Dundee, Michigan passed away peacefully on Monday; April 10, 2023. Her passing was preceded by her parents: Arnold and Carol Missler and a brother: Timmy Missler.
To cherish her memory she leaves her husband of twenty-six years: Jeffrey May; two sons: Trent Nastos of Florida and Troy (Jen) Nastos of Colorado; three grandchildren: Blake, Hailee, and Hudson; two sisters: Shelly McGuire and Debbie Missler; and a nephew: Dylan Missler.
A Celebration of Lori’s Life will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2023 from 12:00 until 5:00pm at the Dundee Veteran's Club; 418 Dunham Street, Dundee, Michigan 48131. Her care had been entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, Dundee; 297 Tecumseh Street, Dundee, Michigan 48131 (734) 529-3156. Cremation has taken place through the on-site crematory, Covenant Cremation of Erie, Michigan.
