Jen Jen (as I called her) and I became friends in the summer of '93' when we were brought together through a volleyball tournament. We spent the rest of the summer on the Escanaba beach playing sand volleyball with friends. I remember the one night we decided that we were going to drive from Escanaba to Green Bay just to watch the new Jurassic Park movie. As time passed, we each had families of our own, but I don't think we were ever far from each other's thoughts and prayers. When we could get together, we did, and even played in a volleyball tournament once in Green Bay. It was always an adventure with her. She was full of life and anyone around her would shine as well. She was contagious. I don't think anyone could deny her the joy she possessed or gave. My heart is broken, not for me, but for the endless people she touched and will not be able to touch in the future. There is a reason He chose her and I know now, for sure, God only chooses the good ones. Rest in peace my dear, loving friend. Now your body can be free of pain!
