Obituary of Shawn Eby
Shawn M. Eby was born in Monroe, Michigan on November 30, 1994. He was born from the union of Timothy and Bobbie (McKnight) Eby. He attended Mason Consolidated Schools graduating with the class of 2012, from Erie Mason Senior High School.
Even though Shawn was a self proclaimed, “home body”, he worked all the time. He understood the value in putting in a day’s work to feel accomplished. Shawn was very hands on and wasn’t afraid to get dirty or greasy to accomplish tasks, mostly wrenching on cars. Many of his essential skills to repair automobiles were taught with a few lessons from his own father.
Shawn had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He was a genuine friend and loved his family very much. In his free time, Shawn enjoyed watching movies, namely horror flicks and could not hide the fact that he loved motorcycles, four-wheelers, and his truck. He also dedicated his energy tending to the needs of his two, four-legged friends: a Husky named Nugget and an American Bully named Koda. However, his one true love in this life was his daughter: Oaklyn. He cherished the time he spent with her, and she was the reason he strived to be a better human being.
Shawn M. Eby, age 28, of Temperance, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday; March 30, 2023. His passing was preceded by his great grandparents: Robert and Virginia Matthis; three great uncles: Bobby Mathis, Larry Mathis, and Freddy Mathis; and one aunt: Jessica Eby.
