I will miss his smile and how he was so pleasant and so content. He never raised his voice, nor have i have heard a bad word come out of his mouth. I will always remember him for his cowboy boots, come rain, shine or summer he always wore these. You could hear him coming down the hall or on the sidewalk. Walking and standing tall. He always gave you a big hug and kiss when you saw him and when it was time to say goodbye. Could never call him Uncle Jim or Uncle Jimmy it was always Uncle Jimbo and he just smiled when you called him this. Even though i know he is at peace now and reunited with his parents and other family in heaven i will miss him dearly. We have a very close family and im so thankful for that because of all the memories we have made. What i wouldn't do to see those baby blue eyes and his sweet smile one more time, but when i close my eyes i know he is doing all that in heaven. Love you and will miss you......

It's so hard to put into words what you feel when someone leaves this earth to head to what we believe is a "better place". We only know we miss him here, and every day we hope to keep his memory alive. In light of that, I wanted to share some of my memories with Uncle Jim. He was the funniest person. He had an amazing sense of humor and used to play pranks on me. I used to clean a doctor's office for extra money and the doctor let me film a school project there one day. I needed Uncle Jim to help with the project so we brought him with us. We didn't know where he was, and found him in the doctor's back office, wearing his lab coat and started doing a full on imitation of the cuban doctor, accent and all. My brothers and I will never forget the video that we captured of that moment! He had the bluest eyes that always excuded pure kindness. You could tell that he had a loving and gentle soul just by looking at him. He loved his family so much, and even moved in with my grandma to help her in her last years with us. He also lived with us for many years when I was growing up. We struggled a bit over those years, but I always had humor to come home to. Uncle Jim and Dad would sit in the garage, talk or sit in each others silent company and watch the sunset or watch storms roll in and out. They became close friends during a time where both of them probably felt very alone. Now, i can envision them sitting on the same chairs, looking at the glorious heavens and laughing like crazy. I know they are watching over us, along with their parents and other loved ones lost. I know they are no longer suffering. And, although they will be missed like crazy, I will strive to keep their legacy of love, forgiveness and laughter alive and try to see the bright side of every cloud.
