Q: How did you meet Danny?
A: I worked many nights shifts with Danny and he was always a joy to work with , patients loved him , felt safe with him and he was never without teaching me to really listen to a great classic Rock song - guessing the band members playing with interesting facts. Made nights go by smoother and faster. Miss Bon fires at Bob’s - I see him at too!!! Rip my friend !!! See you on the other side !

My heartfelt sympathies extended to Jim, Susie, Merri and the rest of our family. Danny was a gentle giant with a big heart. Danny and I shared a love for the Upper Peninsula, particularly our roots in the Calumet and Keweenaw area. In the last few years we enjoyed sharing old family pictures and information on our family tree. He was dearly loved by his parents, their “Danny Boy”. Dan and I started on the behavioral health unit at Mercy around the same time. I have countless memories of talking about music (we both loved Steely Dan and lots of other classic rock), watching him help a patient with a kind word or set a boundary when they were threatening and I didn’t have the backbone to do it myself. Some of my favorite memories at Mercy involved working late nights and chatting with Danny and Bob about anything and everything.
One of my first memories of Danny was taking a crisis prevention class together. During the hands on portion, I accidentally tripped him and hurt his back and knee. He was so kind about it even though he barely knew me. He said “I made it easy for a guy to fall for me”. I knew then that we would be friends.
Dan was loyal and protective of his friends and family. Even when he was struggling, he helped others and was always willing to listen. He will be missed by all of us that had the pleasure to know and care for him. My heart is with his family during this tough time. You were loved more than you knew. Rest easy Danny.

Love you Danny Brown! I'm pretty sure you, Devin, Eunice are making fun of us all and sharing hysterical memories. The band will no longer be the same without our lead singer.
My favorite memories is listening to Phil Collins working those late night shifts together. interpreting, the lyrics of Peter Gabriel song," Solsbury Hill" https://youtu.be/uRQlic97g6U

He said this was a song that reminds him of his wife. He took care of her before she passed away from cancer. It's the song they would sing. We play the song over and over again all night shifts thank you Danny for showing me that walk with Christ and such early years of my life. your friendship was such a gift to me.

I am so sorry to hear of this sudden loss. I used to call him “Pooh” since his name “Dan” was too close to “Dad” & couldn’t say it correctly. Was a big part of my life growing up. I know he had planned to visit New Zealand and had inquired on some tips for visiting. My deepest condolences!
