I have thought long and hard about what I wanted to write here Reba says it best. What do you say in a moment like this.
You were truly the best Father in law a girl could ask for and I miss you so much. I miss the looks you would give me just before you would feed Jasper something that I didn’t really want him to have. It was almost like we had a secret code when it came to Jasper and what he could and couldn’t have as far as people food. Jasper truly loved you just as much as you loved him. I will never forget one of the first times we meet you flat out told me that I better not break your sons heart. That you could not watch your son go through another heartbreak. It was at that moment that I knew just how much you loved your family. Don’t worry Pops I will love Mike forever. Thank you for always being there for us. Love you

My dad was such a great dad he provided for us kept us safe he loved us , all the way to the end especially mom, he loved his two grand kids and was so proud of them, he also loved his old cars, he was always bragging about the old cars he owned when he was growing up… he always wanted a new Lincoln, he said that it was the luxury Ford brand, that old men drove, he loved to go camping and he was the king of the grill, when we were kids I remember he took us to our first Tiger game we sat way up in nose bleeder seats and the site, the sound and smell of old Tiger stadium was a great experience as a kid thats when I knew I would love the game of baseball… speaking of baseball I remember when my dad, uncle George and cousin Nick would cart off to baseball card shows all over the downriver area, standing in those long lines waiting to see our baseball heroes to get an autograph was fun times, I also remember the first time going to a movie theater with my dad we saw E.T at the old Allen Park theater, he was always into the latest and greatest video games systems Atari, Intellivison, Colecovision, Nintendo, Saga, PlayStation, and computer games, that made growing up as a kid so much fun, boy did he love his oldies, Honey radio, CKLW, that is where my love of music came from, he loved taking us kids on vacations like trips to Boblo Island, Cedar Point, Disney, and who can’t forget the adventuress road trip to California we saw so much of our mid to southwestern country… we all know what happened in Texas with his man versus food experience… man he was the king of buying useless stuff off QVC and other “as seen on TV” stuff, just ask mom… but all in all we had good times, your health started going down hill since you fell and broke your hip, all the dialysis you had to endure took it’s toll on your body, you are free of all that now, you were my hero, I’m proud to be your son, don’t you worry we will take care of mom, we are gonna miss you old man, Ed, or pops as we called you, You will be missed but not forgotten, you will always be in our hearts, Until we meet again, we love you…

I’ll always remember when we would watch The Great Race over an over and laugh about them throwing pies at each other. Miss you papa ♥️
