Obituary of Janet Lee Honaker
Janet Lee White was born on October 6, 1956 in Monroe, Michigan. She was the daughter born to the union of John and Phyllis White. Janet attended Monroe High School but unfortunately did not finish her education due to leaving school to assist at home. However, through hard work and determination, Janet was extremely proud to earn her GED through Monroe County Community College.
For more than twenty years, Janet worked as a direct caregiver for Marybrook Residence in Flat Rock, Michigan before declining health forced her to stop working.
Janet loved doing many type of crafts with crocheting and ceramic paintings being her favorites. She enjoyed cooking and grilling. Her preferred dishes to share included fried chicken, the Mexican meal, sliders, and loose cabbage rolls. Janet and her loving companion of over twenty-five years, Randy Henricks , loved spending time together and working in the yard and flower garden tending to their beautiful roses and chicks and hens. Janet enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren playing an integral role in raising them. Being very family oriented, often described as the “Rock”she made them her number one priority in life.
Janet Lee Honaker, age 66 of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday; February 16, 2023. Her passing was preceded by her parents: John and Phyllis White; a son: William “Billy” Bunch and a sister: Earlene McFarlen.
To cherish her memory she leaves a loving daughter: Autumn (Dana) Harrell of Carleton, Michigan; a sister: Edna Estabrook of Sabattus, Maine; her companion: Randy Henricks of Monroe, Michigan; two handsome grandsons: Aden and Devin Harrell of Carleton, Michigan; a niece: Linda McFarlen of California; and a nephew: Edward Kevin McFarlen of Tennessee.
No public services are planned and a private family service will be held later. Janet’s care has been entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe; 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe, Michigan 48162 (734) 384-5185. Cremation has taken place through the on-site crematory, Covenant Cremation of Erie, Michigan.
