Obituary of Sara Beth Miller

Please share a memory of Sara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Sara Beth Miller was born in Monroe, Michigan on October 27, 1959. She was one of ten children the daughter of Richard and Jimmie (Allen) Punko.  Sara was a graduate of Monroe High School.

A real estate broker and local business owner, Sara operated River Raisin Realty for more than twenty years.   She always had an entrepreneurial spirit, being the previous owner and operator of Monroe Street Gallery and Two Sisters Gallery in downtown Monroe where she practiced and promoted art. Many of Sara’s paintings can be found in locally owned businesses and homes. She created phenomenal reverse glass paintings. She inspired her own children and many others with her love of art and music.  Sara also directed a movie, “Where is Art?”, which was broadcast on a local cable channel. Fiercely independent, she was a very hard worker.

A woman of many interests she collected antiques, music, and enjoyed her flower garden. Being near the water was her favorite pastime but spending time with family was what she enjoyed most of all. Sara had a lot of love in her heart for her friends and family. She was always available to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. A daughter, mother, granny, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Sara will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
