Tammy Ann Sieler

Tammy Ann Rathke was born on June 2, 1967, in Tecumseh, Michigan. She was one of three children born from the union of Bernard and Ann (Cowen) Rathke. Tammy would attend and graduate from Dundee High School with the class of 1986. After graduation, Tammy would pursue a career as a cosmetologist. “Doing” hair was her passion and she would remain self-employed doing just that for thirty-four years.

Sporting a green thumb, not only would Tammy successfully plant and cultivate a vegetable garden annually, but she would also take on the task of canning her harvests for future enjoyment. Among her many talents was interior decorating.   It was said that Tammy could make any room look magazine worthy.

Tammy could often be found posting inspirational quotes and sayings on her Facebook page. Those who read Tammy’s daily postings were in awe of her positivity and optimistic outlook, despite her own grim diagnosis. On many occasions, the words of encouragement Tammy published online were of immense encouragement to others.   She in turn received her own strength from the great feedback and support from those who kept up with her social media account. Tammy could always be seen wearing a smile, no matter what was happening in her life personally.
