Tonya Lynn Jones was born on December 20, 1979 in Trenton, Michigan. She was born from the union of her parents: Larry Jones and the late Carol (Acord) Jones. After Carols tragic passing, November 11, 1983 she was raised by her father, Larry and her mother, Yvonne Jones. She attended Flat Rock High School and graduated with the class of 1998. She was always striving to push herself and decided to further her education; recently earning her bachelor’s degree from Northwood University.
Tonya was blessed with two beautiful children whom she adored. To support her growing family, she worked for many years at Comerica Bank as an Assistant Vice President. Her loving personality gained her many friends at her workplace with whom she cultivated many lasting relationships. She flourished by having an open door policy at home and at work.
Tonya enjoyed traveling and always looked forward to taking trips to enjoy the beautiful beaches and glowing sunshine of the Bahama’s. In her spare time, she loved letting loose and listening to music and dancing. She had a strong Christian faith, shown through her overwhelming generosity. She was always willing to lend a hand to those in need and had a heart unlike any other.
Family meant the most to Tonya, most importantly her children. She enjoyed time spent with them and cherished the memories made. Her loving personality and compassionate nature are just a few things that will be missed by those who knew her. There will forever be a void in the hearts of those closest to her and she will be forever missed.
Tonya Lynn Mink, age 39, of Rockwood, passed away unexpectedly at her home. She is preceded in death by many cherished family members.
To cherish her memory, she leaves behind her daughter: Grace Mink; her son: Wyatt Mink; the childrens father James Mink, her father: Larry (Yvonne) Jones; her sister: Ashley (Christopher Winter) Jones and many extended family members and friends.
