Marian Bowen

Obituary of Marian Ann Bowen

Marian Ann Young was born to Chester R. and Esther V. (Scott) Young on November 7, 1927 in Toledo.   She attended Woodward High School.

She met her man, Charles “Tex” Bowen at the Michigan Tavern.   The couple would share more than fifty years of life together.  Although she worked as a Nursing Assistant for a few years, she mostly enjoyed staying at home to tend to her family .   She was a homebody, but for many years traveled the country due to Tex’s work.   They loved boating and fishing.   A great mother and passionate animal lover, she was spunky, strong-willed, kind, and caring.

Marian loved the time she spent with family and grandchildren, worshipping at Bedford Alliance Church, making the best Christmas cookies, spaghetti, and fish fry’s.   She loved to witness the beauty and serenity of butterflies and hummingbirds.

Marian Ann Bowen, age 89, of Temperance passed away at 3:39am on Friday, June 9, 2017.   In addition to her parents her passing was preceded by her husband:  Charles; and a sister:  Violet Woodrum.
