Obituary of Robert Louis Leppek

Robert (Bob) Louis Leppek passed away peacefully on Thursday June 1, 2017 at Henry Ford Hospital following a brief illness. He leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Dianne (Stanfill) Leppek,  His Daughter,  Rebecca ( Jeff Butler) Leppek,  Son, Keith Leppek, and Daughter, Dawn ( Rich Seegert ) Nartker;  Eight Grandchildren: Vincent Nartker, Matthew Nartker, Jennifer (Brandon) Stambaugh, Logan Leppek, Lilly Leppek, Lola Leppek, Kyle Seegert and Emma Butler; and two Great Grandchildren, Channing and Hayden Stambaugh.

Robert is survived by his sister, Patricia (James) Bogoski, brother, Ray (Lori) Leppek and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his Parents, Louis and Margaret (Snider) Leppek, his sister, Janet Leppek-Werstein and brother, Ronald Leppek.

Born July 21, 1947, Robert graduated from Milan High School in 1965. He worked for Ford Motor Company, Rawsonville Plant, retiring after 40 years. he also served honorably for 4 years in the United States Navy. He and Dianne would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on September 22nd. 

Robert was a member of the Dundee Sportsman Club, Moose Lodge and NRA. He enjoyed hunting and camping with his Children and Grandchildren and riding on his Harley-Davidson Motorcycle. 

Robert most loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Caring for them, hosting summer barbeques and watching them play and grow.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place with a graveside gathering to follow at a later date.

Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe (734)384-5185.
