Obituary of Blake Jordon Wingle

Blake Jordon Wingle January 7, 1987 – April 5, 2017 Blake Jordon Wingle was born in Monroe, Michigan on January 7, 1987. He was the son of Robert Johnson and Kathy (Truell) Wingle. The youngest of seven children he attended Monroe Public Schools and graduated from Orchard Center High School with the Class of 2009. Blake then attended Monroe County Community College where he obtained his Associate Degree in Welding. He would meet the love of his life, Brittney Bomia, when she was only 13 years old. The two were high school sweethearts and later were joined in marriage on March 23, 2013. Blake was an extremely hard worker, and he was employed from the time he was old enough and frugal with what he earned. Recently, he had been employed for several years as a Crane Operator for Pioneer Metal Finishing, and the past two years he had worked on the assembly line at Neapco Driveline as a member of Q1-Ford. Blake loved to spend time in the great outdoors. He was an avid hunter but more than anything loved to fish. He often visited the banks of the River Raisin at Hellenberg Field to cast lines. Blake shared his home with several beloved cats and canine companion, Mya. He was a proud life-long Detroit Lion fan. Blake was well-loved, and kind-hearted. He was a big teddy bear, a gentle giant. Quite selfless, he always seemed to place the needs of others above his own. Blake was also quite fond of his “pony”, his 2011 Ford Mustang. Blake Jordon Wingle, age 30, of Newport passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at his home. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife: Brittney; his mother: Kathy Wingle of Newport; his mother-in-law: Leslie Bomia of Monroe; his paternal grandmother: Helen Johnson; one sister: Melissa (Wade) Begley; five brothers: Larry (Cheryl) Wingle, David Wingle, Raymond Wingle, Christopher Wingle, and Anthony Wingle all of Monroe; several special aunts; and numerous nieces and nephews.
