Adair Liford

Obituary of Adair Marie Liford

Adair Marie Giznsky was born in Monroe on February 6, 1964. She was the second youngest of five children born from the union of William Giznsky Sr. and Nancy (Henry) Giznsky. Adair attended Monroe High School graduating with the Class of 1982. While still in high school, Adair began working as a Caregiver. Being employed by Adult Learning Systems assisting the mentally and developmentally challenged adults, she was passionate about those that she cared for, and she would continue this work throughout her life. Adair married the loved of her life, Craig Liford on July 29, 1983 in Monroe, and together would share in the birth of three children. Adair was a remarkable woman with the ability to balance the needs of her family and working a full-time career outside the home. She always gave her all no matter what hat she was wearing. For the past seven years, Adair had also served as Craig’s main caregiver. As a young woman she had enjoyed playing bingo and later in life she allowed her mother to “drag” her to the casino for some quality time. Adair enjoyed sharing her home with several four legged companions including dogs and cats, but more than anything loved spending time with her twin baby granddaughters. Adair Marie Liford, age 53, of Newport passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Promedica Monroe Regional Hospital. Her loving family was at her side. Her passing was preceded by her father, William in 2000. To cherish her memory she leaves her beloved husband of thirty-three years: Craig of Newport; two sons: Michael (Lindsey) Liford of Erie and Seth John Liford of Newport; a daughter: Abigail Liford of Newport; her mother: Nancy Giznsky of Monroe; three brothers: William (Connie) Giznsky) Jr. of Monroe, Timothy (Jane) Giznsky of Rockwood, and Wayne (Christal) Giznsky of Sand Creek; a sister: Jennifer (Gary) Liford of LaSalle; and two granddaughters: Ruthie and Rylie Liford.
